Big news for Midland! After extensive consultation with local Traditional Owners we have a new design for the Lloyd Street Bridge that will allow for this important project to proceed.

The agreement follows years of collaboration to ensure the final bridge design avoids impact to culturally significant sites, including the Helena River.

The new bridge will be one of the longest multi-span bridges in the State, providing a vital connection through the heart of Midland to support the continued growth of our eastern suburbs.

This is a massive achievement following years of work behind the scenes to reach this point.

We’re now progressing the detailed design, with construction works expected to begin before the end of the year.
