Delivering for Western Australians.

That's the message of this year's Labor State Budget

Every year, the State Budget is a chance for a Government to show what it actually stands for. This one shows we stand with Western Australian families. I know the pressure is real. Groceries, household bills, petrol, it all adds up. So this Budget puts real money back in your pocket.

Every Western Australian with a valid WA driver’s licence gets $100, through your ServiceWA app. No complex paperwork, no time out of your day. Just money to help pay the bills. And if you've got kids in school, there's free public transport and another Student Assistance Payment coming for school kids: $250 for high school students, $150 for primary and kindy kids. Straight to you, because we know every dollar counts.

This Budget also delivers the biggest housing investment in WA's history - $4.7 billion - which means more land, more homes, more help for first home buyers. And we're changing laws that haven't been fair to renters for too long, including banning no-fault evictions, because every Western Australian should have a place to call home.

Even as the world faces uncertainty, Western Australians can count on the Cook Labor Government to do what’s right for WA. Our State Budget runs a $3.5 billion surplus - our eighth consecutive operating surplus - keeping WA's economy the strongest in the nation and letting us spend even more in health, housing, jobs, and cost of living relief.

We are investing a record $5.5 billion over the next four years to build, buy, and upgrade hospitals across our State - adding 900 additional hospital beds over the next four years. This Budget includes 60 beds coming online over winter at St John of God Midland Public Hospital.

Budgets are about choices. This one chooses Western Australian families. I am working hard every day to make sure your views and voices are heard in our Labor Government – so we always make decisions with Midland families in mind.
