Applications in writing for these messages are welcome from any relative, friend, or Member of Parliament.
Requests for messages are forwarded to the Offices of the Prime Minister, the Premier and the State and Federal Leaders of the Opposition. Requests that are eligible for a message from the Governor-General or The King will be forwarded to Government House, Canberra.
A Congratulatory Message Request Form must be completed and submitted to the Office of the Governor at least four to six weeks prior to the birthday or anniversary, to allow the message to be prepared and received on time.
